Captain Jim has successfully helped many patrons land memorable catches that qualify for saltwater derby fish pins. The many species are Striped Bass, Seabass, Tautog, Fluke, Porgies, and Bluefish. This is a program that the State of Massachusetts runs every year. Saltwater Fishing Derby, The Captain and crew look forward to helping our patrons try to achieve a memorable catch that qualifies. In 2015 we helped a young man from New York state land a bluefish that was the largest in the junior division that year.

Fishing and sightseeing on the majestic waters of Cape Cod are available. Some of the species we commonly fish for are striped bass(aka stripers), bluefish, and tuna. The bottom species are:

  • Black seabass.
  • Fluke (the captain's favorite).
  • Porgy (aka scup).
  • Early-season squid.

We fish offshore for tuna and sharks. These trips require advanced planning.

No Experience Necessary

Experience the charter fishing adventure of a lifetime onboard the PESCE (fish in Italian). A spacious 31' diesel-powered Duffy (lobster style vessel) aka a Downeast style hull. Built by Atlantic Boats (www.atlanticboat.com) to handle our local New England waters. The PESCE has all US Coast Guard required equipment. As well as EPIRB (Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon), GPS Navigation, VHF radio, and radar.

Planning a family vacation? A day of fishing onboard the PESCE will offer a fun learning experience for the children. No video games or TV on this vessel. Plenty of fresh air and fun without the distractions and crowds. Watch as your children cast their line. They will not just be catching a fish but capturing a priceless memory. Some of the common areas fished are Vineyard Sound, Nantucket Sound, and Buzzards Bay.
